Easy Rider is a 1969 American road movie written by Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Terry Southern, produced by Fonda and directed by Hopper. It tells the story of two bikers (played by Fonda and Hopper) who travel through the American Southwest and South after selling a large score of cocaine. The success of Easy Rider helped spark the New Hollywood era of filmmaking during the early 1970s. The film was added to the Library of Congress National Registry in 1998. A landmark counterculture film, and a "touchstone for a generation" that "captured the national imagination", Easy Rider explores the societal landscape, issues, and tensions in the United States during the 1960s, such as the rise and fall of the hippie movement, drug use, and communal lifestyle. In Easy Rider, real drugs were used in scenes showing the use of marijuana and other substances.

Kill Speed is a 2010 direct-to-video action film directed by Kim Bass, starring Andrew Keegan, Brandon Quinn, Nick Carter, Natalia Cigliuti and Greg Grunberg. The film is set in the scorched desert of Southern California and Keegan, Quinn, Natalia Cigliuti, Nick Carter, Reno Wilson, Christian Monzon and Greg Grunberg play characters involved in a high-octane "Top Gun" meets "Fast and Furious" type tale about best friends who fly super fast, high-tech, experimental airplanes to deliver Mexican manufactured crystal meth throughout California in order to fund their Hollywood, rock-star lifestyle. But when a beautiful young woman, who is not what she pretends to be, infiltrates their group it sends their world and illicit operation into a tailspin. The film, which incorporates incredible, never-been-done-before, air-to-air filming of actual airplanes (including 300 mph propeller driven, experimental race planes and military fighter jets) with all the actors actually in the airplanes and, in some cases, at the controls while delivering dialogue.

The Art of Negative Thinking is a 2006 Norwegian black comedy film directed and written by Bard Breien. The storyline revolves around a man (played by Fridtjov Saheim) who is adjusting to life in a wheelchair, and the socializing group he is made to join. The film was Breien's directorial debut. It was produced by Dag Alveberg for the production company Maipo film- og TV-produksjon.[3] The Art of Negative Thinking was successful both domestically and internationally, with sales of 35,000 tickets in its Norwegian theater run and the highest-gross in Germany for any Nordic film during 2008. Reviews were mostly positive and the film won multiple international awards.

Tropic Thunder tells the tale of a group of prima donna actors filming a Vietnam War movie when their fed-up writer-director decides to dump them in the middle of a real war.

Turtle continues to try to maintain his relationship with Jamie-Lynn Sigler as a secret, despite the guys' curiosity. Eric's efforts turn out not to be in vain, as Van Sant forwarded Vince's reel to filmmaker Martin Scorsese, who calls Vince to say he wants Vince in the lead role of his remake of The Great Gatsby, which will film in New York City. Vince flies back to L.A. to reconcile with Eric in person.
