While there, Frank bonds with Emily, a young girl who's waiting for a new heart; he becomes genuinely sad when she dies before her pending transplant. Though Sheila means well, Samantha wants to stop her Native American methods of cures for more modern ones, and sparks a rift between the two. Carl invites Bonnie's family to live at the Gallagher house, confusing Lip momentarily but gaining approval so Lip can further irritate and scare Amanda's parents. A social worker stops by and inspects the house that is now under Lip's guardianship. Documenting but ignoring flagrant violations of the Illinois DCFS, the social worker is impressed with Lip's responsibility and aids him. Ian crashes Mickey's son's christening. Later, at a post-party, where Mickey's dad Terry is present, Mickey announces his homosexuality to everyone, causing a bar brawl with the Milkoviches; Terry gets arrested once more. After witnessing their daughter's new boyfriend's lifestyle, Amanda's parents use bribery in an attempt to keep Lip away; it goes over not so smoothly. Debbie meets a classmate who initially seems to like her, but who suddenly twists Debbie's innocence into an ugly and humiliating internet prank.

It's summertime again in Chicago. Fiona balances her job at Patsy's Pies and a crush on her older boss, Sean, as Lip says goodbye to college and Amanda. He heads back home where he struggles to fit in with his old Southside friends. But he's not the only thing in the neighborhood that's changing though, realtors are buying up property and a new, trendy yoga studio has popped up. Frank, still recovering from his liver transplant, is living with his wife Sheila and working on a secret project in her basement; while she works upstairs to get rid of a problematic Sammi and Chuckie. At the Milkovich house, Ian helps a pregnant Svetlana take care of baby Yevgeny while Mickey and his brothers run a moving truck scam. Veronica, frustrated by her newborn babies and Kevin's exclusive obsession with them, goes to work at The Alibi while Kev enjoys his new role of stay at home dad. Meanwhile, Debbie, ostracized by Holly and Ellie, helps Frank gather supplies for his project while Carl, stuck with a broken ankle, steals a wheelchair. Back at Patsy's, Fiona enjoys flirting with Davis, the lead singer of the band Jezebel, and a regular at Patsy's. She also waits on Angela, a mystery woman we last saw with Jimmy... In addition, Lip takes a job working for Tommy's demolition crew. Ian, hypersexual as a result of his condition, has a few anonymous sexual encounters. And Frank unveils his mystery project, a home brewery in which he makes "Frank's Milk of the Gods," the self-proclaimed strongest beer known to man.

Eric tries to convince Sookie to become his. Sookie visits Bill for help in dealing with Eric, only to find out that Bill has become King of Louisiana. A flashback reveals that Bill first met Nan Flanagan of the AVL in the 1980s, on its orders infiltrated the Queendom of Louisiana and arranged for the execution of the previous monarch, Sophie-Anne Leclerq, by AVL snipers. Back in the present, Bill tells Sookie there is nothing he can do to stop Eric. Tara pays Sookie a visit, but Sookie soon leaves for Fangtasia to seek Pam's advice, angry that Eric has altered her house. Meanwhile, Tara joins Lafayette and Jesus as they attend another witches' meeting, where Marnie announces she plans to resurrect a human. Eric, on Bill's orders, tells Marnie to dissolve her witch coven. As she refuses and Eric attacks her, she is taken over by a strange entity and successfully curses Eric into losing his memory. In Fangtasia, Sookie encounters Jessica feeding on someone who isn't Hoyt. In Hotshot, Felton and Crystal Norris tell Jason of their intentions to turn him into a werepanther, so he can breed for their community. Sam's romantic interest in fellow shapeshifter Luna grows as she reveals she is able to shift into another human. Sam's brother Tommy speaks of mending their bond. On her way home from Fangtasia, Sookie comes across Eric walking down the street with no shirt, no shoes and no memory.

Emma Pillsbury's parents come for a visit, and Mike Chang struggles with his grades while his parents work to get him back on track.

Ari goes to war with Lloyd when Drama wants out of his contract on Five Towns to get a part on the new Melrose 2009 series, but regardless of the outcome, Drama will have to decide who will be his real agent. Ashley asks Eric to read his emails so they can have an open and honest relationship, but after talking with Brittany, his new assistant, it becomes clear to Eric that Ashley has major trust issues. Turtle is caught in a pseudo love triangle with Jamie-Lynn and a UCLA co-ed.

On the set of Smokejumpers, Vince winds up getting his lines stolen by co-star Jason Patric, and not only does the director allow it, but Vince is too intimidated by Patric to do anything about it. Ari has lunch with Andrew Klein, an old friend and mentor who needs his help.

Four West Baltimore boys wrestle with what to do with the rest of their summer vacation. When unkempt outcast Duquan "Dukie" Weems is beaten up by a neighbouring group of children, Michael Lee is the quiet leader of the group's retaliation. Randy Wagstaff has the imagination to plan the endeavour. Namond Brice is the most outspoken and the richest of the four. Roland "Prez" Pryzbylewski prepares for his new career as a school teacher. The Major Crimes Unit has a wiretap investigation into the new power in West Baltimore - the Stanfield Organization. They remain unaware that when Marlo Stanfield orders a death the target is taken to a vacant building and killed by enforcers Chris Partlow and "Snoop." Randy is unwittingly involved in one such disappearance. The mayoral election campaign between councilman Tommy Carcetti and incumbent mayor Clarence Royce begins to take shape.

As Drama follows up on a tip about Vince's suspected stalker, Turtle gets some surprising news about the break-in. Ari steals teen heartthrob Zac Efron from Adam Davies, so Davies offers Lloyd a job as an agent, which brings him into conflict with Ari. Ashley grows increasingly suspicious of Eric.

Elliot wakes up alone in Tyrell's SUV three days after the conclusion of the previous episode, with no memory of those three days. The fsociety hack succeeded, throwing the world into chaos and gathering cheering crowds throughout the city. Fsociety encrypt their data and cover their tracks. E Corp is readying an emergency TV interview. The E Corp EVP of Technology commits suicide on TV after stating that the situation is hopeless. Elliot talks to Mr. Robot again and asks about Tyrell's location. The episode ends with Elliot opening his apartment door; the visitor is not seen. In a post-credits scene, Whiterose, dressed as a man, and Phillip Price, the CEO of E Corp, are shown conversing at a formal event where Price indicates he "knows who's responsible".

Chuck finds himself once again at odds with his uncle, Jack Bass. Chuck finds out his mother is in love with Jack and has signed the hotel over to him. Eleanor puts Blair in charge of making sure her latest fashion show is a huge success with an important client. Rufus attempts to get Jenny back on track by volunteering to have her help with Eleanor’s fashion show, but the opportunity takes a big turn for the worse when Jenny learns that Agnes will be one of the models.

Despite being grounded, Jenny continues to see Damien who tells Jenny that he wants to have sex with her. Lily tells Rufus the big secret she has been keeping from him even though she knows it's a huge risk. Dan and Vanessa explore a new stage of their friendship. Chuck is forced to make an extremely difficult decision about his hotel.

At a charity banquet, Marty tries to get Maya out of her partnership with Ellis, and uses her own generosity against her.

Brenda's father dies and Nate attends the funeral to Lisa's chagrin; David and Keith attend a brunch; Claire spends a lot of time with Russell.

Carrie drags Doug to a karaoke bar where his surprising vocal talent attracts an online secret admirer - but when Carrie puts a stop to their communication, the admirer tries on Glenn Close-style obsession for size. In other drama behind the microphone, Deacon is shunned by his urban brothers for his extremely non-ethnic taste in music.

Red gets pressured to smuggle drugs through her kitchen; Larry publishes an article about Piper in the "New York Times;" two babies come into the world.

Kurt joins the football team and admits his homosexuality to his father, Burt, who accepts him for who he is. Quinn discovers she is pregnant and tells Finn the baby is his, when in fact the father is his best friend, Puck. Finn asks Will to teach the football team to dance, hoping to improve their performance and thus his chance of receiving a football scholarship. Puck, Mike Chang, and Matt Rutherford all join the glee club after the football team's win dancing to "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". This makes them a group of twelve and eligible to compete, but Sue and former glee club director Sandy Ryerson team up in an effort to bring the club down, luring away a disillusioned Rachel, who quits when Will awards a solo she wanted to Tina.

When a teenage girl is contacted by a man claiming to be her biological father, the team reopens a 1988 case of a teenage boy who was killed on the same night the girl was born. Lilly sees the victim looking over his girlfriend and their daughter.
