Richard returns home and discovers Russ Hanneman waiting for him to celebrate Richard's victory over End Frame. Gavin Belson attends a board meeting where he tries to urge restraint on Nucleus publicity without admitting that Nucleus is in trouble. The meeting ends with Gavin realizing that he may need a scapegoat. In the next scene, he convinces Davis Bannercheck to return to Hooli to head up the Nucleus project. Richard learns that Seth Lee, the network security engineer for End Frame had been fired, presumably due to Gilfoyle's breaching of End Frame security in episode 7. Richard feels bad and reaches out to Seth. Richard tells Seth that the break-in had not been his fault. Seth becomes enraged and threatens to hack into Pied Piper and get revenge. Richard becomes very concerned about Seth's threats. Gilfoyle is unconcerned, assuring Richard that Pied Piper's security is solid. Dinesh stresses that Richard should not be admitting to anybody that Pied Piper had broken into End Frame, explaining that Richard is now a "black hat" and needs to be careful. Bannercheck interviews the Nucleus team to assess the state of the project. In the next scene, Gavin learns that Bannercheck has quit Hooli and left as fast as his car would take him. Gavin realizes that he has lost his scapegoat for the upcoming Nucleus fiasco. Richard's increasing paranoia about Seth annoys the Pied Piper team. Richard reaches out to Seth again and they mutually apologize. Richard tells Seth that Gilfoyle hadn't been worried at all and Seth feels insulted and issues fresh threats. Pied Piper begins transferring data from Intersite for the bake-off. Russ Hanneman arrives to celebrate and Richard becomes angry at the interruption and begins shouting at Hanneman. Suddenly Pied Piper receives a frantic phone call from the CTO of Intersite informing them that Pied Piper is deleting all of Intersite's data. In the ensuing panic, they conclude that Seth has made good on his threats and has hacked into their system although Gilfoyle can't figure out how. Eventually it is discovered that Hanneman had put a tequila bottle down on the "Delete" key of one of the laptops. The episode ends with Intersite angrily dismissing Pied Piper.

The inmates campaign along racial lines for positions on a prisoners council, but Piper tries to stay above the increasingly raucous competition.

Fiona contemplates finding another job so she can move to Michigan where Jimmy will be returning to medical school; Fiona receives a call and finds out Jimmy has only rented a studio apartment in Michigan, Fiona and Jimmy get into a large argument about their relationship and trust. Fiona tells him to find another place to sleep. Later on, Jimmy gets a surprise visit from Estefania's father who informs that Estefania is being deported by immigration, then boards his yacht leaving off to a unknown location, all the while seemingly fearing for his life. Frank spends a night sleeping on the train and convinces Carl to let him stay in the old family van when he has nowhere else to go. Frank and Carl bond over Frank's childhood story of theft, inspiring Carl to propose stealing belongings from the foster parents he was recently living with; the police arrive to arrest Carl but Frank takes the blame. Lip, having figured out Mandy was the one to run over Karen, seeks advice from Kev; Lip attempts to cautiously end things with Mandy, fearful of her reaction. Angered by witnessing Karen's deficiencies after returning from the hospital, Lip confronts her at Mickey's wedding where they break up. Ian confronts Mickey who is moments away from marrying the female he was forced to have sexual intercourse with and tries to convince him to not marry her; Mickey and Ian have sex, but to Ian's dismay, Mickey goes through with the wedding, causing Ian to drink excessively and reveal to Mandy he's been sleeping with Mickey. Fiona attends a camping trip by her boss with her family. While at the camping trip, Fiona nearly has sex with her boss, but instead calls Jimmy to admit he was right about moving to Michigan alone.

Burt and Virginia go to extreme lengths to recover an antique clown doll, upon remembering that they had hidden their sex tape in it, but find the tape is missing. The two track down the couple (Mike O'Malley and Liza Snyder) who last owned the doll, and discover that the tape has changed the couple's life. Meanwhile, Sabrina tries to help Jimmy finally cure his sleepwalking problems, which he's had since childhood.

The gang goes to a Thanksgiving Eve party where Kate relives horrible high school memories.

Will becomes tabloid fodder after a confrontation with a gossip columnist on New Year's Eve, which threatens to undermine his credibility on a current news investigation. Meanwhile, Don urges Maggie to set Jim up on a date with her roommate; Mac's boyfriend pitches a story about the government's inability to prosecute financial crimes; and Neal tries out his Bigfoot theory on anyone who will listen.

Cameron's former clown partner returns to town.

When Peter and Chris go away to fat camp, they cross paths with a serial killer who targets overweight kids. Meanwhile, Stewie is traumatized by the frightening cover of a Queen album.

Chuck interrogates Susan, Lynette and Gabrielle about Alejandro's disappearance; Gabrielle goes on a desperate search to find Carlos; a drunk Bree reveals her past and present details, and then goes to a motel room.

The McKinley High school musical West Side Story is readied for performance, with Artie as lead director, and opens. Finn meets with a football recruiter, whom Coach Beiste gains as an admirer. Kurt and Blaine reach a new, physical stage in their relationship, as do Rachel and Finn. The Dalton Academy Warblers return.

Mia testifies for Hank's case, going on the record that she slept with Hank knowing that he was unaware of her age. Charlie gets unexpected news and learns his vasectomy may have been botched. Karen starts dating a new guy. Hank, Sasha, and Mia get to know each other a bit better.

Audrey tries to be more spontaneous in the bedroom with Jeff. Meanwhile, Russell invites Timmy to join him on a business trip to distract him from his fear of flying.

Andy has a role in a local production of Sweeney Todd and has invited the entire office to the performance, in hopes that Erin will show an interest. While Michael struggles to put his jealousy aside, Jim and Pam have trouble with their less-than-impressive babysitter.

After inviting John Stamos to Vince's house to convince him to be his co-star, Drama makes a first impression which leaves something to be desired. Ari attempts to part ways with Lizzie on good terms, with no success, but a meeting with some of Hollywood's elite to bring the NFL back to LA looks promising. Eric gets even more upset with Scott, only for their conflict to take a turn.

Mark decides to turn over a new leaf, and refuses Callie's invitations for sex. Meredith fires her therapist, Dr. Wyatt, who tells her that she is a quitter.

The Miami Metro Police Department, led by FBI Special Agent Frank Lundy, begins the hunt for the "Bay Harbor Butcher". Both Dexter and the police are hunting for Little Chino, and Dexter is determined to kill him properly given a second chance. Debra and Dexter struggle to overcome memories of the encounter with Brian that led to his death. After Paul's funeral, Rita confronts Dexter about his involvement in Paul's death, and he admits to having an addiction, which Rita infers to be to drugs. LaGuerta and her new boss, Lieutenant Esmee Pascal are not getting along very well.

Ruth sets ground rules for a new live-in apprentice Arthur; Brenda returns to apologize to Nate; David encounters a face from his past.

Homer becomes a food critic for a Springfield newspaper and ends up annoying the restaurant owners of Springfield after he makes negative reviews just to be mean, advice he took from fellow critics. Springfield's restaurant owners then attempt to kill Homer by feeding him a poisoned eclair.

Homer goes out and rents a western movie to watch with his family on the VCR. However, the movie turns out to be a musical, which disgusts Homer. The family reminds Homer of the past times that he has sung and danced in enjoyment, and soon, the family is singing and dancing themselves. Snake enters the house through a window and threatens the family, but decides they would not be good hostages. The family sings once more, and later, Snake comes back, threatening to kill them for putting an annoying tune in his head, but realizes he is out of ammunition and leaves. The family continues to sing, until Snake returns to kill them, but the family tells him they are finished singing. The episode ends with Marge humming nearby the living room window, causing Snake to shoot through it.

The film is about a radio shock-jock who tries to find redemption by helping a homeless man whose life he inadvertently shattered.
