La gazza ladra (Italian pronunciation: [la 'gaddza 'la?dra], The Thieving Magpie) is a melodramma or opera semiseria in two acts by Gioachino Rossini, with a libretto by Giovanni Gherardini based on La pie voleuse by Jean-Marie-Theodor Badouin d'Aubigny and Louis-Charles Caigniez.

The Others is a 2001 psychological horror film based in part on Henry James' classic, The Turn of the Screw.

Alex DeLarge is the charismatic and psychopathic delinquent whose pleasures are classical music (especially Beethoven), rape, and ultraviolence. He is leader of a small gang of thugs. Alex narrates most of the film in "Nadsat", the fractured contemporary adolescent argot comprising Slavic (especially Russian), English, and Cockney rhyming slang. A Clockwork Orange features disturbing, violent imagery to facilitate social commentary on psychiatry, youth gangs, and other topics in a futuristic dystopian England.

The story, set in and around New York City, follows the sexually charged adventures of Dr. Bill Harford, who is shocked when his wife, Alice, reveals that she had contemplated an affair a year earlier. He embarks on a night-long, eventful sexual adventure, during which he infiltrates a massive masked orgy of an underground cult.

The Alien film series is a science fiction horror film franchise, focusing on Lieutenant Ellen Ripley and her battle with an extraterrestrial lifeform.

The fourth series of British science fiction television programme Doctor Who began on 25 December 2007 with the Christmas special "Voyage of the Damned". Following the special, a regular series of thirteen episodes aired, starting with "Partners in Crime" on 5 April 2008 and ending with "Journey's End". "Partners in Crime" marked the debut of Donna Noble, as played by Catherine Tate, as a full-time companion to the Tenth Doctor. A short Children in Need special was also produced. The series started production on 8 August 2007 and concluded on 29 March 2008. This was the final full series to star David Tennant as the Doctor, and the last with lead writer and showrunner Russell T Davies, however they would both stay until 2010, following a year's worth of specials.

The show follows the lives of Al Bundy, a once-glorious high school football player turned hard-luck salesman of women's shoes; his wife, Peggy, a tartish, uneducated housewife with a large red bouffant hairdo, 1960s clothes, and funny walk caused by wearing high heels; Kelly, Al and Peggy's pretty, promiscuous, dim-witted daughter; and Bud, their unpopular, girl-crazy, intelligent son. Their neighbors are the upwardly-mobile Steve and Marcy Rhoades. (Marcy later marries Jefferson D'Arcy.) Most storylines involve a scheming Al being foiled by his cartoonish dim wit and bad luck. His rivalry and loathing of Marcy also play a significant role in most episodes.
